This year, Veterans Day falls on Sunday, November 11th and while many retailers will offer deals on that day—some of the popular Veterans Day freebies will be celebrated on Monday November 12th.
To help you celebrate your special day we’ve compiled a list of special discounts and freebies for you (our Veterans). This list will be updated daily, so be sure to check back for more.
Attractions/Entertainment
Birmingham Zoo– In honor of Veterans Day, all veterans, active and retired military and their dependents will receive free admission to the Birmingham Zoo on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12.

Harley-Davidson Museum– On November 9-11, Harley-Davidson Museum will offer free Museum entry for all active Military, Veterans and their families*. Harley-Davidson has always been on the front line – right next to the troops. *Free entry with valid Military or Veterans ID for 1 additional adult and up to 4 children 18 years old or younger
Knott’s Berry Farm– Active, Retired and Veteran U.S. Military Personnel may receive free admission to Knott’s Berry Farm for themselves and one guest from November 1 – 15
Museum Of Science Free Admission for veterans for Veterans Day.
Knott’s Berry Farm– Active, retired and veteran U.S. military personnel may receive free admission to Knott’s Berry Farm for themselves and one guest from November 1 – 16 and November 27 – December 15. Show your Military I.D card or DD214 at the Knott’s Berry Farm main gate to redeem this offer. Additional Knott’s Berry Farm admission tickets may be purchased at a discounted rate by active, retired or veteran US military personnel members only.
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will pay tribute to our country’s veterans during Salute to Service, a special five-day tribute honoring veterans, active-duty members of the military and their families. From Wednesday, November 8 to Sunday, November 12, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum will host a series of events and special programs for veterans and their families, as well as the visiting public. Throughout our tribute, veterans will receive free museum admission. Veterans will also receive half-price museum tickets for two family members during the tribute.
Albany Institute for History and Art– The Albany Institute of History & Art will offer free admission to the galleries on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10 am to 5 pm in honor of Veterans Day.
Discovery Place– On Veterans Day, both active military and veterans receive free admission to our Museums, and their immediate family members receive $2 off admission. Proper identification must be presented at Admissions to redeem military discounts.
LEGOLAND Florida Resort – For November 1-30, 2018, all veterans and active duty military of the U.S. armed forces can receive free admission to LEGOLAND Florida Resort. Veterans also can purchase theme park tickets for up to six guests at a 50% discount on the same dates. To receive free admission and purchase discounted tickets, veterans must present valid military ID or proof of veteran status at LEGOLAND Florida Resort ticket window on the day of their visit. LEGOLAND Florida Resort: U.S. active duty and veterans will also receive free parking, and hotel discounts at LEGOLAND Florida Resort for the month of November! Kennedy Space Center– In honor of Veterans Day and the celebration of the one-year anniversary of the opening of Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is thanking active duty, retired and reserve men and women for their service to the United States. These military heroes will receive complimentary admission November 10 through November 12, 2017, and will save 50 percent off admission for up to three guests in their party.
Kentucky State Parks Lodging-Has launched their military discount program that runs now through March 31st, 2019. Military personnel, veterans, reserve, NG and retirees will special rates on 1-3 bedroom lodging.
Montpelier wants to thank all U.S. military veteran visitors by offering free House tours. Veterans will also receive a 10 percent discount on any purchase at the Museum Shop.
North Carolina Zoo– Nov 10th-16th Military members and veterans get free admission and $2 off per guests for up to 6 extra people.
Riverbanks Zoo & Garden-All military personnel, who have served or are serving in the United States Armed Forces, will receive free admission to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in honor of Veterans Day.
Restaurants
Golden Corral, the nation’s #1 grill buffet franchise, will thank thousands of active-duty and retired U.S. military personnel for their service with a free dinner buffet and beverage, while raising donations for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). At all its restaurants nationwide, Golden Corral will serve free dinner buffets with beverage from 5PM to 9PM on Monday, Nov. 12 to any person who is serving or has served in a United States Military branch, including the National Guard and Reserves – identification is not required.
Cracker Barrel– On Veterans Day, November 11, all military veterans receive a complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake in thanks for their service. Dine in only.
Between October 30 – November 11, Cracker Barrel will donate 20% of the sales price* from online and in-store purchases of select Lodge® cookware to Operation Homefront. Lodge items available include cast-iron skillets, pans, griddles and more. Funds raised will be donated in the form of gift cards to help provide holiday meals to military families across the country.

Denny’s– To thank America’s veterans for their endless service and dedication, Denny’s is inviting all active, inactive and military personnel into its booths on Monday, Nov. 12 from 5 a.m. to noon to enjoy a free Build Your Own Grand Slam®.
SweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt- On Sunday, November 11, sweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt, the nation’s leading frozen yogurt chain, will provide a free 12 oz. frozen yogurt on Sunday, November 11 to all veterans and active duty personnel with a valid military ID.
El Torito, Acapulco, Chevys and El Torito Grill will thank our men and women in uniform by offering all military personnel, past and present, a complimentary meal on Veterans Day.
All a veteran or current service member has to do is dine at any El Torito, El Torito Grill, Acapulco, or Chevys restaurant on Sunday, November 11, 2018, and have with them a valid ID, and they will be served a meal free of charge at any time from 3pm until closing time. The offer is not available during brunch.
Huddle House
Free order of Sweet Cakes to all active military members and veterans with proper I.D. from Nov. 9-12.
Scooter’s Coffee, a Midwest-based coffee franchise, will offer a free drink of any size to veterans and current military personnel with valid military identification on Sunday, November 11. Stores will also be taking donations for Wounded Warriors Family Support, November 11-12.

Kolache Factory Thanks Veterans with a Free Kolache and Drink

Hy-Vee– Many Hy-Vee stores celebrate Veterans Day each year by offering a free breakfast buffet to all veterans and active-duty military members as a way of thanking veterans and military members for their service.
McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, Nov. 11, 2018. Veterans will be able to choose a complimentary lunch or dinner entrée from a special menu. Veterans must provide proof of military service. No ID needed for Gold Star Family members (parents or spouse). Space is limited and reservations are highly recommended.
Olive Garden- Nov. 11, 2018. Free entrée from a special menu. Entrées are served with unlimited soup or house salad and garlic breadsticks. Offer good for veterans and active duty military; proof of service required. Be sure to call ahead to make sure your location is participating.

White Castle, America’s first fast-food hamburger chain, is recognizing Veterans Day by offering a free Combo Meal to all veterans and active military members who dine in or visit the drive thru at one of the nearly 400 participating White Castle restaurants nationwide. All past and current members of the U.S. military receive a free Combo Meal (#1 – 6) or any Breakfast Combo Meal on Sunday, November 11, and Monday, November 12, at participating White Castle restaurants. White Castle encourages veterans and those currently enlisted to join White Castle on either day for recognition of their service to our country. No purchase is necessary to claim the offer, simply provide your military ID.
Lord & Taylor– On Friday, November 11th, all veterans and active duty military personnel can receive a 15% discount on their meal at our Sarabeth’s Signature Cafe.

Publix– Military personnel, Veterans and dependents will receive 10% off their groceries.
Food Lion– on Sunday, Nov. 11, Food Lion stores will offer a 10 percent discount on Monday, Nov. 12, to active and retired military personnel. o receive the discount, active military, veterans and their families should present their MVP card, along with military identification, if available, at the time of checkout. Customers will then receive 10 percent off their entire grocery bill. This offer is valid on Monday, Nov. 12, only. The discount does not apply to the purchase of alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery, postage stamps or services.
Sam’s Club– is honoring all active and retired military, veterans and their spouses through November 30th, a special membership offer at all clubs nationwide.
Qualified military who join or renew their Sam’s Club membership now through Nov. 30 in club will receive numerous perks including:

This discount will be offered on Saturday, Nov. 11 and will be available at all of Tractor Supply’s more than 1,725 locations nationwide.
Destination Maternity– the world’s largest designer and retailer of maternity apparel, today announced in recognition of Veterans Day the launch of a military discount program that offers an ongoing 10% discount in-store for all veterans, active service members and their spouses. You must present a valid military ID or Veterans ID in store.
Williamsburg Premium Outlets is marking Veterans Day Weekend with a sidewalk sale. As part of it, military members and their families will be able to enjoy additional discounts and reserved parking.
The event takes place from November 10 through November 12. Several stores already planned to offer savings as high as 65 percent off. Williamsburg Premium Outlets said there would be special military discounts with valid military ID at retailers that have a patriotic star on their windows. Veterans and active duty military members also will find reserved veteran parking spaces around the center.

Brides Across America holds a wedding gown giveaway for military in partnership with bridal salons across the country in November. Qualifying brides register to attend the event at a participating bridal salon by completing the registration form and paying a $40 fee. Attend the event and select one of the designated gowns on display.
B&Bs for Vets has organized dozens of participating Bed and Breakfasts and Inns across the US and Canada which will be offering veterans a free night’s stay on and around Veterans Day. This offer is available to both active duty military members and veterans with ID, but space is limited.
Super 8 by Wyndham – 20% off for Military Members
From October 16 through December 11, 2018*, any current or retired military personnel, veterans and their families who book and stay at participating Super 8 hotels in the U.S. and Canada can take advantage of Super 8’s 20% off military discount. Additionally, guests that book using this offer through a Wyndham direct booking channel will be automatically enrolled into Wyndham Rewards and eligible for 500 bonus points.
