Apart from the traditional ceremonies, there are also many military deals and freebies available on Memorial Day 2023. In this blog post, we’ve compiled a comprehensive list of theme parks and restaurants that offer discounts and special offers to military members and their families on Memorial Day 2023.
Carowinds

Carowinds is a popular amusement park in Charlotte, North Carolina with over 60 rides and attractions. As a special offer this Memorial Day, Carowinds is offering free admission tickets to all active or retired military personnel with valid IDs.
Military Discount:
- US Military ID holders get free admission to Carowinds from May 26 to May 29.
- They can also buy up to six discounted tickets online for $39.99 each for friends and families (register with ID.me).
Eligible:
Veterans, active-duty, and retired personnel are eligible for free admission. While they can also purchase up to 6 discounted tickets for their families and friends online.

Walgreens
Walgreens is a pharmacy chain that provides health and wellness products, as well as prescription medications, to customers across the United States. In honor of military members and their families on Memorial Day 2023, Walgreens offers a military discount.
Military Discount:
From May 26-29, 2023, Walgreens and Duane Reade offer a 20% discount on regular-priced products to myWalgreens members with valid military ID or proof of service.

How to claim:
To claim, visit Walgreens or Duane Reade stores with a valid military ID or proof of service and a myWalgreens membership. The myWalgreens membership is free and is available at checkout.
Restrictions:
- The discount is not valid for certain products or services, including alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, and prescriptions.
- It cannot be combined with other offers such as buy-one-get-one-free deals.
- The promotion also does not apply to pseudoephedrine or ephedrine products, lottery tickets, and charitable donations.
- Additionally, sales tax, Prescription Savings Club membership fees, and items submitted for insurance reimbursement are ineligible for the discount.
Lowe’s
Lowe’s is an American retail company specializing in home improvement products such as hardware, appliances, and building materials. The company operates over 2,200 stores across North America, serving both consumer and professional customers.
Military Discount:
From 5/18/23 through 6/7/23, Lowe’s will offer Memorial Day deals including discounts on appliances, outdoor power equipment, and paint. Customers can also take advantage of one-day online-only Deals of the Day and Memorial Day steals.

Lake Cahuilla
Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park is a stunning 710-acre park at the base of Santa Rosa Mountains. It offers camping, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding.
Military Discount:
In honor of Memorial Day 2023, Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park offers free admission to military personnel from May 27-29.

- Active duty
- Veterans
- National Guard
- Reservists
- Guests in the same vehicle
How to claim:
Just present valid proof of military service.
Restrictions:
To go fishing at Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park, visitors must purchase a state fishing license from a retail store since the park does not sell them.
SeaWorld Orlando
For Active Members:
As part of the Waves of Honor program, active military personnel and their families can enjoy complimentary admission to either SeaWorld®, Busch Gardens® or Sesame Place® once yearly. This fantastic offer is available to U.S. active duty military, activated or drilling reservists, National Guardsmen, and up to three direct dependents.
But that’s not all! Waves of Honor also offers 50% off admission to SeaWorld Orlando for the active member plus three additional guests (limit 4). Just make sure you register online and redeem your tickets at the park before December 31, 2023. And don’t forget, the active member must be present with their guests.
Waves of Honor also offers discounts on two-visit admission tickets to any of our Florida Theme Parks, including SeaWorld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens, and Adventure Island. The discounts are valid for the active member plus up to three additional dependents
For Veterans:
SeaWorld® Orlando offers you and your family an amazing opportunity to visit the park. If you register by May 14, 2023, you will get one complimentary single-day ticket and three complimentary tickets for your guests. But hurry, as this offer is only valid until July 9, 2023.
Additionally, you can purchase up to six 50% off SeaWorld® Orlando Single Day Tickets for any additional guests.
If that’s not enough, veterans also have access to discounted tickets all year round! You and your five guests can enjoy 50% off admission to SeaWorld® Orlando (up to 6 tickets). Simply purchase your tickets online at wavesofhonor.com and bring your veteran status I.D. to the park.
All active and retired military members and their families can also take advantage of four all-day dining deals. This deals costs $150, a savings of approximately 25% from the regular adult price.
Pirates Dinner Adventure

Active military members can receive discounts at Pirates Dinner Adventure with a valid ID. The discount is $35 off adult tickets and $12 off child tickets. To redeem, use the code “MILITARY”. This interactive dinner show features aerial artistry and death-defying stunts.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill is a casual dining restaurant chain that specializes in Italian-American cuisine. The company was founded in 1986 by Johnny Carrabba III and Damian Mandola and now has over 200 locations throughout the United States.
