I love Brazilian Steakhouses. Brazilian style steakhouses serve unlimited cuts of quality meat that is roasted in fire and carved table side. My first visit to one was three years ago in Texas, and I have been hooked on them ever since. Where else can you go and get unlimited cuts of steak, chicken and pork and eat until your heart’s content?
Since Orlando, Florida is one of my favorite family vacation spots I love sharing attractions, theme parks and restaurants that offer military promotions there. Because Brazilian Steakhouse Fogo de Chão graciously always offers amazing Veteran’s Day promotions to military nationwide and their Orlando location offers a daily military discount of 15% off, the Retail Salute team partnered with them to share our fun experience there.
While on Spring Break in Orlando, Florida recently we had our fill of theme park food and always look forward to a nice sit down meal. We were excited to arrive at Fogo de Chão and were promptly seated. I started off my order with a refreshing mojito also known as their FOGO PREMIUM CAIPIRINHA. Trust me they don’t skimp on the spirits in this drink either. We also tried their version of a Brazilian lime aid which definitely left our lips puckering, but it was tasty and went well with our upcoming dinner. If you are a wine lover their is an entire room with wines to appease any wine fan’s taste. Our grilled Shrimp Cocktail appetizer was filling as the shrimp were huge and the accompanying malagueta sauce was a perfect pair with it.
While we were waiting for the meat to make it rounds we headed over to the side’s buffet. Their buffet is full of high quality cheese including mozzarella balls and a Parmesan cheese wheel. The fresh mozzarella tasted great on the variety of fresh greens of which you could select from to make a salad. There was also chicken salad, pasta salads, fruits and because I am a Rachel Ray fan I was excited to see fresh thinly cut slices of prosciutto and so much more.
Once we got our food from the buffet, we headed over to our table to flip our cards on green. FdC has these little coaster sized circles they place on your table. Flip on green to say “keep the food coming” or on red when you need a break. We were served juicy ribs, succulent steak and flavorful chicken. My favorite were the pork ribs. They were juicy and tender. I am really hungry writing about this!

How are you served?
The carvers come around to your table with a minimum of 8 different types of meat on a skewer and slide it on to your plate. And if there is something you want more of or maybe you want your steak less medium or more well done then you can ask for that too.
And if that’s not enough they bring extra sides to your table. We has mash potatoes and plantain. Oh and dare I not forget to mention their fried cheese rolls which are light and airy.
I’m sure you will be full but if not they also have awesome desserts to to seal the deal.
Price wise Fogo de Chão is a treat for those on a budget and makes for a great date night. It’s so worth it because we could barely move by the time we left. We were stuffed. Don’t worry the free valet parking at their Orlando location makes up for that, so walking to your car won’t be far. Even if you decide to not use valet there is plenty of parking.
Don’t forget military receive 15% off their bill and if you aren’t heading to Orlando be sure to look for their yearly salute to the troops on or around Veteran’s Day.
